How in the world are we going to get to a sustainable lifestyle?

Big Challenges call for Innovation!

Can we enhance our Quality of Life while implementing a comprehensive downsizing of our current overly consumptive lifestyle?  This is the kind of response these times call for, a reinvention of our choices. Our current Eco footprint requires 4-6 planets of resources if all 6.5 billion of us were to have the American Lifestyle. How in the world are we going to get to a “1 planet of resources” lifestyle? We’ve have a history of rising to seemingly overwhelming tasks before,  we can, we will again!

Welcome to Making It Real Sustainable!

Like a trailblazer, leading Americans into the new frontier,  I have been searching for the way to a bountiful future, an abundance that includes living in balance with our amazing blue and green sphere we call home, our Planet Earth. I find myself deeply committed to collecting best practices, shining examples of “what works”.

What I’ve found has me convinced we still have the stuff it takes to rise to the challenge. I’m  seeing sustainable neighborhoods roll out across the planet, like cell phone usage.  Some day soon we’ll be exclaiming, “How’d we live without em?!”
